The new Affordable Care Act requires private insurers to cover all basic preventive care at 100%. That means, no matter what insurance policy you have, you and your family can, in most cases, now get physicals, vaccinations and a host of screenings without paying anything out of pocket.
Of course, you're paying indirectly
... for these services through your
premiums, which will go up 1-2% because of new preventive care coverage and restrictions on how much insurers can limit benefits. But this is all the more reason to take advantage of new offerings.
