Number of patients who were exposed to tuberculosis between November and February at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta by coming into contact with a hospital employee carrying the disease; 100 other employees were also exposed. Georgia health officials are urging patients, who were notified by letter, to get tested for tuberculosis next week, but say there is little reason to worry — few people who are exposed to TB actually contract the infection. To date, no Emory patients or employees have reported symptoms of tuberculosis. [via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution]
