Number of deaths from salmonella poisoning, which appeared to be linked to eating ground turkey, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday. Seventy-six other people in 26 states have also become ill from the same strain of the disease since March. The CDC has released no other details about the death or said where that person became sick; the government has also declined to identify the manufacturer of the meat and has not initiated a recall.
