Times increase in dementia cases by 2050, according to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO). Nearly 35.6 million people are currently living with dementia; the number is estimated to double to 65.7 million by 2030, and triple to 115.4 million by 2050. The U.N. health agency is calling for programs to improve early diagnosis, raise public awareness about the condition and reduce stigma and provide better support for caregivers. [via WHO]
