Moms don’t have to give up the bikini, says Min. If you’re larger on top after having kids, however, you should switch to bikini tops that have underwire support or try halter tops or bandeaus. To cover up a mushy middle, Min writes that “a loose-fitting tankini is the most flattering,” especially the kinds that are “fitted at the bust” and “loose around the middle.” She quotes swimwear designer and mom Shoshanna Gruss, who has designed swimsuits for celebrities, including Britney Spears and Selma Blair: “I can run around with my daughter without having to check and make sure that everything’s still inside my suit!”
