Substance Found in Oscar Pistorius’ Bedroom: Testis Compositum

The mystery substance is an herbal remedy

Oscar Pistorius’ public relations firm confirms that the substance found in the athlete’s bedroom is testis compositum, a compound that is advertised to help sexual performance and treat impotence as well as hormone imbalances. Pistorius’ representatives say the remedy is used “in aid of muscle recovery,” according to the Associated Press.

South African police said they found needles, along with the substance, in the Olympic athlete’s bedroom, and initially mislabeled the herbal remedy as testosterone. Pistorius has been released on bail and is awaiting trial for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
