Just finished reading “Bitter Pill” at the recommendation of my public health friends everywhere. I can still remember as a new college graduate working temp jobs, nearly in tears when I couldn’t go to the doctor to take care of my twisted ankle because I had no health insurance and couldn’t afford a primary care visit. It’s very sobering and I hope it’s the call to arms for all Americans to demand better administration and provision of health services.
