More dads than ever are staying at home to look after the kids, but the disparity between men and women is still very stark. (See the little green boxes at the bottom of the chart? Those are the dads.) Note that during the recession, the numbers of both moms and dads who stayed at home dipped, but the dads’ numbers went back up more quickly, according to this data from the U.S. Census.

Child Abuse. All stay at home days should be made to take a ploygraph to ask if their is any sex
abuse of the kids. Dads should be working unless he in a wheelchair with ALS and can't do any
kind of work.
The Mom should be the one to stay at home if any parent does for child safety

There are certainly more women than men staying home as full time parents. The Census, though, has told us directly that they are not in the business of tracking stay-at-home fathers. If you call the office that did this study, they will explain how they intentionally track men and women differently, greatly diminishing the number of reported stay-at-home dads.
The numbers are very deceiving because the Census counts stay-at-home dads and stay-home moms differently. They also don't account for the fact that many stay-at-home dads actually stay in the workforce a little bit while most stay-at-home moms do not. A dad who makes $10,000 a year as a freelance writer while the kids nap or are at pre-school, for example, is still a stay-at-home dad by most people's definition. However, the Census doesn't count him. Learn more here: http://athomedad.org/media-resources/statistics/
