Tom Hanks revealed Monday that he has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
The 57-year old actor disclosed his ailment during an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman when the host commented on his slim figure.
“I went to the doctors and they said, ‘you know those high blood sugar numbers you’ve been living with since you were 36, well you’ve graduated, you’ve got Type 2 Diabetes young man,'” Hanks said, according to the Daily Mail.
Hanks joins the ranks of other stars with Type 2 Diabetes, including Patti Labelle, Drew Carey and Halle Berry.
