“People are taking their clients to a cycling class instead of taking them out for a steak meal and drinks,” says Flywheel Sports Co-founder, Ruth Zukerman. “Everyone loves it and it’s a lot healthier and more fun.”
“It’s an intense cardio workout. In 45 minutes you can burn 700 calories,” says Jay Galluzzo, president and co-founder of Flywheel Sports, which has locations throughout the U.S. “But we get people at all levels. It is very individualized. We see a lot of people here for corporate events, showers and bachelorette parties.”

Lisa Helfer Elghazi founded Yoga for Weddings after seeing an interest among bridal parties for her classes. “Some brides want a healthy bachelorette party. The don’t want to go to Vegas and have whip cream in their face. They want something meaningful and healthy,” says Elghazi.
Yoga for Weddings sends instructors to brides’ homes or wedding locations for 45 minute- to hour-long classes to help both the bride and her wedding party relax. “You can have a really intensive, sweaty class or a relaxing restorative class,” says Elghazi. “Instead of alcohol, we can provide smoothies or vegan catering.”
