My secret to staying healthy over the holidays: The most important thing about the holidays to understand that your calorie consumption will increase: stress, parties, calorie dense (celebratory) foods, etc. Since you’re eating more, combat that with more physical activity. Jump rope for 10 minutes in the morning, shadow box for 10 minutes mid-day, and body sculpt for 10 minutes in the evening to burn the consumed calories. Breaking your workout down like this allows you to keep your metabolic oven turned on throughout the day, combating what you eat from the comfort of your home.
My holiday indulgence: Eggnog with everything, french toast, rice pudding, scrambled eggs…I’m a hog for eggnog.
